While this tour won’t feature golf, it offers a front-row seat to one of nature’s most spectacular events: the migration.
With stays in two prime Serengeti locations, you’ll maximize your chances of witnessing this awe-inspiring phenomenon. First, experience the front end of the migration in the Central Serengeti’s Namiri Plains, renowned for big cat sightings, especially cheetahs and lions. Next, move to the Northern Serengeti, for the tail end of the migration.
The journey also includes a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most extraordinary natural wonders. Formed millions of years ago by a volcanic eruption, it is the largest intact volcanic caldera on Earth and is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife. Known as "Africa’s Eden," Ngorongoro offers unmatched game viewing, with excellent chances of spotting the Big Five, including the rare black rhino.
The tour will be hosted by our partner in Africa, Rory Loader.

9 November 2025 (B,L,D) - Onto Dunia Camp - Central Serengeti for 3 nights
After breakfast, you check-out and transfer to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti (Seronera Airstrip). You’ll be met by your guide and taken on a game drive through the Serengeti to Dunia Camp. You’ll arrive in time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you’ll depart on a game drive. Return to camp for sundowers and enjoy dinner at leisure.
Dunia Camp is in the central Serengeti, part of Tanzania’s famous Serengeti National Park, surrounded by golden savannah. Twice per year, this area sees millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles passing through on their constant migration around the Serengeti and Kenya’s Masai Mara. If you’re lucky, you won’t even need to leave camp to watch the vast herds grazing.
The camp is ideally placed to explore three excellent game viewing areas: Seronera, the Moru Kopjes and the southern Serengeti plains. The Seronera River is a gathering place for lots of wildlife, providing ample opportunity for spotting predators in action. The Moru Kopjes are a cluster of old granite boulders, favoured by big cats that like to use them as lookout points. You might even spot the rare black rhino. The southern plains are covered in lush grass between December and May, perfect for calving wildebeest.
Peak season in the Serengeti is June to October when it’s driest, but there’s plenty to see all year round.
The Great Migration wildebeest herds are within driving distance of Dunia Camp for most of the year except August to October, when they have crossed the Mara River into the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
The safari comes right to Dunia, with the migrating wildebeest herds regularly passing the camp. Outside of the migration, there’s plenty more opportunity for wildlife spotting, too. During downtime, sink into a leather armchair with a cold drink in the open-sided dining tent and scan the sun-bleached plains for movement or get lost in a great book before retiring to your tent for an afternoon snooze.
